Good morning everyone, the new SPC outlook is in, and it's still showing a significant risk for severe weather across much of the south:
You can see the highest risk is across Northern and Central LA... Northern and Central MS... and western and Central AL. However, the risk for severe weather will be very real across the ENTIRE south, and the risk graphic from the previous day also shows a big risk for severe weather farther west into North-Central Texas as well.
The main risks will be:
- Damaging winds, potentially significant, with winds of 90+ possible
- Tornadoes, a few could be long tracked if discrete cells develop
- Large hail, could be very large if discrete cells develop.
Main timing:
TX-Monday Morning
LA - Monday Morning and Afternoon
MS - Monday Afternoon and Evening
AL - Monday Evening and Night.
