Good evening everyone, it's a nice enough night tonight... but I prefer stormy nights with a good rain myself. Right now there is an area of storms in the TX panhandle, this area should stay to the north but I'll be watching any outflow boundaries to see if isolated storms may develop in North Texas. Isolated showers and storms are possible tonight and tomorrow morning... but the lift won't start arriving until tomorrow afternoon when an upper level low and cold front begins to move into Texas. Thunderstorms will become widespread and ALL of North Texas will see rain during this round. The cover image shown is the NAM-HIRES which is showing anywhere from a trace - 4 inches of rain just with tomorrow night's event, need I remind you another period of heavy rain is possible Sunday Night and Monday. The highest chance of heavy rain will essentially be over I-30 tomorrow night and along a line to the SW... including all of the DFW metro. Flash flooding is possible, but flooding won't be widespread. Heavy rain may not be widespread, but it will cover 70% or more of the area, with rain in general covering 100% of the area tomorrow night. I will go more in detail on what else to expect in a future update on Monday's event.
