SIGNIFICANT cool down on the way for the Southern U.S, Widespread Freeze possible in parts of the region.

Good evening everyone, since my last update, the data has remained very consistent... a major cool down is on the way for the South, with a widespread freeze possible across parts of Alabama and Mississippi. High temperatures may stay in the 40's (Yes, the 40's!) across much of Alabama, with high temperatures going up into the 60's in Texas.
This is the GFS showing forecasted temperatures for Sunday Morning next weekend. This shows lows near freezing going all the way down to the Gulf Coast, with cold morning temperatures going all the way down to the Orlando area and as far west as the DFW area in Texas. In fact, one of the models, the EURO, showed SNOW in parts of Alabama as a result of this front. Snow is extremely unlikely with this event... but it highlights just how cold it may get. Thank you for putting up with the ads, they help us pay for models, weather software, and the bills. Like and share this update to inform those you know and to help support our pages.
