Soaking rains expected tonight, severe weather looking increasingly likely on Sunday Night and Monday Morning.

Update: A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued until 10:00 Pm for the areas in red:
Going on from this watch... Soaking rains continue to be expected tonight for all of North Texas. A line of storms will initially form and is in fact forming in the NW counties right now, but then it will quickly transform into a large band of rain and thunderstorms which, as mentioned in the update from last night, will dump about 1 to 4 inches with isolated higher and lower amounts possible.

Severe Weather looking increasingly likely by Sunday Night.

It's that time of the year after all, severe weather is now likely across much of North Texas Sunday Night and Monday morning as another cold front moves through, a squall line or cluster of severe storms will likely form along the front and sweep across North Texas, I would have to say significant damaging winds are definitely the main threat as of now.... but large hail and tornadoes may occur within the line as well. All of this should be out of the area by Monday afternoon. I will have more posts out and  full coverage on the severe weather as we get closer to the event.
