Widespread Freeze likely across most of AL and MS, cold temperatures across the entire South tonight.
Freeze watches and warnings are up for much of the Southern U.S for tonight, with freeze warnings in dark blue and freeze watches in light blue. A strong cold front moved through yesterday, and with clear skies and light winds temperatures will quickly sink across the entire Southern U.S. Most of AL and MS, along with parts of Louisiana and Texas, will experience the first freeze of the season tomorrow morning. I encourage everyone to cover your plants as the cold air will generate frost and possibly a freeze, some in Northern MS and AL could experience a deep freeze, a freeze that lasts several hours. Tomorrow high's will range from the 50's in the freeze zones to the 70's outside of them. Stay tuned. - Taylor Weiss.
